Ingredients
½cupSalted Butter 1 stick, Softened
¼cupIcing Sugar / Powdered Sugar
¾cupAll-Purpose Flour
8tbspsCorn Starch
2tbspsMilk
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
Mix the softened butter and sugar until light and slightly puffy with a hand mixer.
Add the APF and corn starch and mix them well.
Now add milk and combine it to form a thick, smooth dough.
You can press these cookies in your preferred way.
Using cookie press
Wash the cookie press and pat them dry. Follow the procedure mentioned in the cookie press and insert your favorite press and add the dough. Follow the instructions and press the cookies on the baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Using a piping bag
Transfer the dough to the piping bag and add your favorite tip. Pipe evenly on the baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Pressing with hands
You can pinch a small amount of dough and roll them into a smooth ball and press into a round cooking using your palms. Cookie cutter can be utilized too.
Baking
Bake at 300 deg F for 25 minutes and cool on a wire rack before storing in airtight container.
Notes
You can use 5 oz of butter and skip the milk altogether.
Adjust the sugar as per your preference.
Bake these cookies at low temperature and after 15 minutes, keep an eye on them.
Once they cool down, the cookies get firm, so do not over bake.
