Veggie Naan Pizza With Paneer – easy vegetarian pizza prepared with Naan bread base topped with Ragu sauce, curried vegetables and paneer.
Veggie Naan Pizza With Paneer
Yayyy it is the weekend, specifically the game weekend. Looking for easy yet exotic meals that can be prepared in a jiffy? Today I am going to present one such recipe which will be party pleaser for sure. Errr.. forget the parties and games, this recipe will surely magnify your dinner table and make your family time more memorable. When east and west meets, this is what you get – Curried Naan Pizza with Paneer. :-)
America’s favorite pasta sauce has been around for 80 years! Yes, it’s my favorite brand – RAGÚ®. To celebrate the delicious heritage, I’ve partnered with the RAGÚ® Sauce to bring you this fusion recipe. As I mentioned in this post, I make sure I always have a pasta sauce in my refrigerator. Needless to say about the brand now and no wonder I said yes when I got the opportunity to prepare a recipe with the same.
Traditional Homestyle Sauce
One of my favorite sauce is the Traditional Homestyle Sauce. The sauce is so versatile that I you can use it as a dip, pasta sauce, pizza sauce and what not? (Shhhh, one more recipe is coming with this) A perfect sauce to keep in handy. But wait, they have other delicious sauces and tons of recipes on their website.
Check out their website and grab your favorite sauce from your grocery store.
The rainy weather and the game day sure does calls for pizza. At the same time, I did not want to prepare everything from scratch. However, I know what I need to do exactly. As rice and Indian flat bread are our staple, one or the other will be there in my kitchen for sure. Luckily, I had some whole wheat naan and viola my healthy pizza base is ready.
And with RAGÚ® Sauce, my pizza sauce is also ready. I had only a handful of parmesan, but when I saw some paneer I know my cheese is also fixed. All I had to do was to chop some vegetables. That’s it. It took me less than 30 minutes to put this pizza together.

Veggie Naan Pizza With Paneer Recipe
Ingredients:
- Naan Bread – 3 (I used whole wheat naan bread)
- RAGÚ® Homestyle Pasta Sauce – ¼ cup for each naan bread
- Vegetables of your choice. I used
- Chopped Onions – ¼ cup
- Chopped Mushrooms – ¼ cup
- Green Bell Peppers,chopped – ¼ cup
- Chopped Olives – ¼ cup
- Zucchini Rounds – 10 to 12 slices
- Curry Powder – ½ tsp
- Chopped Paneer cubes – ½ cup
- Parmesan cheese – a handful (I sprinkled about 1 tbsp for each naan)
- Dried basil – 2 tsps
- Olive oil – 2 tsps
- Red chilly flakes – as required while serving
- Fresh basil for garnishing
Prep-Work:
- Chop the onions and bell peppers into thin slices.
- Chop the zucchini into small rounds.
- Next, chop the olives and mushrooms into halves.
- Chop the paneer into small cubes.
- Cover a baking tray with aluminum foil and spray some oil. Place the naan bread on top of it.
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
- Add the veggies and paneer except for olives in a bowl and add the oil, curry powder and dried basil. Mix/ Toss them nicely and ensure the curry powder is coated evenly.
- Now spread ¼ cup of pasta sauce on each naan.
- Then add the curried veggie and paneer mix and then the olives.
- Finally, sprinkle about 1 tbsp of parmesan cheese.
- Bake them for about 12 to 15 minutes or until the cheese melts.
Let it cool for a couple of minutes and garnish it with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
Notes:
- Adjust the curry powder as per your taste. It’s completely optional too.
- Instead of dried basil, fresh basil can be used. I usually prefer adding it after baking for vegetarian pizzas.
- Any naan bread or kulchas can be used. I have posted preparing pizza base here. For preparing the base from scratch, you can refer this post.
- Adjust the vegetable quantity as per your choice. Also, you can other veggies of your choice too.
- Instead of paneer, mozzarella chunks can be added.
- There is no set measure cheese. Add more cheese to make it ooye gooye.
