It’s a semi-homemade recipe and only needs a handful of ingredients, but the flavors are delicious. Decorating your glasses with lime seasoning enhances the flavor and makes it visually appealing. Let’s get straight into the ingredients and recipe details.
Ingredients required
Fresh Mangoes & Lime This mocktail needs fresh sweet, and ripe mangoes. And for added flavor, we need lime juice. If you have fresh mango nectar, you can use that too. Mango nectar comes in handy for these mocktails. Check out my homemade mango nectar recipe if you are interested.
Ginger Ale: I went with store-bought ginger ale. You need a not-so-sweet and spicy ginger ale for this recipe. I used the Gus brand. (not-sponsored)
Green chili: I have used one fresh green chili for the spicy kick. Alternatively, You can try jalapeno or jalapeno syrup or skip this completely.
I have used fresh mint leaves, freshly grated ginger to garnish, and Trader Joe’s Chile lime seasoning blend for the glass rim. Also, you can add sugar or honey, or agave for a sweeter version.
How to make the mango ginger ale mocktail
- Add the mangoes, lime juice, green chili, ginger ale, sugar if using, and ice cubes.
- Blend them until smooth and well combined.
- Run the lime wedge all around the glass. Make sure the glass is wet.
- Put some Chile lime seasoning in a dish bigger than your glass’s diameter. Tip the glass over into the lime seasoning.
- Now slowly pour the blended mocktail into the glass. Add some ice cubes if desired.
- Garnish it with freshly grated ginger and mint leaves.
- Serve immediately and enjoy your Mango Ginger Ale Mocktail!
Recipe Notes
- Adjust the quantities of mango, ginger, ginger ale, green chili, or lime juice according to your taste preferences.
- If the mangoes aren’t sweet, add a teaspoon of honey, sugar syrup, or sugar while blending, if desired.
- I have made this drink slightly on the spicier side. But you can play with the flavors and adjust to your taste preference.
Dietary specifications & VVK tips
- This mango mocktail is a vegan, gluten-free tea. Make sure to use vegan sugar and vegan labeled ginger-ale.
- Adding seasoning to the glass rim is optional. But I highly recommend adding the lime seasoning blend.
- Make sure to use sweet and juicy mangoes. Less fiber variety is preferred, but you can use mango nectar store-bought mango pulp if you can’t find it.
- Please do not skip the lemon/lime juice, as it helps to balance the flavor.
