So yesterday it was sizzling smoothie with ice-cream. Now I am back to track with my healthy smoothie with chia seeds. When balanced diet became popular, oats became very popular. And then came flax seeds and then quinoa in the world of diet. Now the new mantra is detox diet and detox drinks and that bought in chia seeds. I am not doing any detox diet or any kind of diet. When I read about chia seeds, I was so amazed by its health benefits, so started using them more often. Here you can find its benefits. So basically chia seeds is like our falooda seeds and when you soak it in water, it enlarges and forms like gel. You can these gel to your drinks or chia seeds directly. In this smoothie I directly added chia seeds. Didn’t soak them in water.
So here is the recipe:
The sweet and sourness of mango and pineapple with refreshing lychee is an amazing combination.
- Mango – 1
- Pineapple – 1 cup chopped
- Lychee – 3 (deseed and chop them roughly)
- Chia seeds – 1 tbsp
- Protein powder – 1 scoop (as per the label measurement, I used vanilla flavored one)
- Water – 1 cup
Blend everything together in a regular blender and thats it yummy smoothie with chia seeds its ready.
